Manila cont.. to the night before the wedding.......

Go go go, was my last statement from the last blog.  And that was an understatement.  One week in Manila flew by because there was something to do everyday.  On Monday, Chris arrived at night.  The next night, we went to my Aunt's restaurant for my cousin's bday and a send off for me.  It was really fun.  The restaurant was nice.  Sang Karaoke, and ate with the Ebuen's.  I miss those times when we would all hang out every Saturday.  =(

The next day, on Wednesday, Leslie and Ritchie came.  Ritchie and Christian branched off to Chinatown, while Aaron, Leslie, and me walked around Market Market, Serendra, and High Street at The Fort.  We all met up afterwards and went swimming at SOMA.  That next day, the trio left for their trip to Loag, Ilocos Norte.

So Thursday was my only time with Aaron before everyone came.  We just chilled in SOMA.  Did nothing really.

That Friday was pretty busy.  I don't quite remember what happened during the day.  But at dinner time, I went out with Iris, Nin, Ron, Mia, and Eug.  After dinner, I pretty much had to go to the airport so we can hang out with the gang.  We waited about 20 minutes before they all came.  My dad and my cousin Wes said that the airport was crazy that night.  They couldn't find parking, the traffic was crazy.  So after we all met up and said our hellos, everyone headed to Terminal 3 to hang out.  We stayed there for a couple of hours before Aaron's friends had to branch off to the Domestic Airport for their flights.

At 6:30 am, we landed in Caticlan on our way to the beautiful island of Boracay.  By 8 am, people were drinking their first beers in paradise.  It was nice hanging out with the San Francisco crew outside of San Francisco.  We wanted that night to be memorable since we knew that the next night was the start of a chaotic week.

Sunday, March 22 -  Most of the guests came.  That means the Evangelista crew.  There were like 30 something of them.  It was so crazy having so many people there at the same time.  Thao and Cris were also in that airplane, and Derrick and Angela came that same morning.  I just remember feeling so happy having everyone experiencing Boracay with me.  Some has experienced it before, and some for the first time.

Monday, March 23-  Snorkeling tour with 60 people and two boats.  I managed to get everyone to go on a snorkeling tour.  Everyone seemed to have enjoyed it.  Some saw some pretty interesting stuff such as jelly fish, snake, nemo etc.  I watched it all from the banka (boat).  That night, was the welcome bbque dinner.  We had it at Seawind.  The set up was amazing!  i felt like the wedding could have been that night.  They blocked off one side of Seawind for us and decorated it, Filipiniana style.  The barbeque was great.  So much food!  At this point, I was too caught up with everything that I didn't really eat much except for the Mango float dessert.  Which was so yummy.  We had Friday's resort Cultural dancers perform a few dances for us.  That entertained us for a while since they pulled a few guests to dance the tinikling with them.

This night felt like it was never going to end since the Bachelor/Bachelorette party was held this night.  Aaron opted for a chiller night, while mine was led by Ms Kat.  Out of all 3 of them, this was the most crazy since I had a list of things to do.  I had a lot of fun with the girls, but I had to retire a little past midnight due to exhaustion.  On our way back walking on the beach, we ran into all the boys just chillin.  What a day!

Tuesday, March 24th -  Rehearsals at 5.  Held at Discovery Shores.  But before that, I moved in from 2 Seasons to DS.  The room at DS was simply amazing.  It was a two stories loft.  Two bathrooms, a huge a balcony with sunbeds and a hot tub.  Mmmm, ya, it was breathtaking.  We were at the upper clusters so we can see the ocean from our balcony.  I had a couple of hours with Aaron without everyone, so we just chilled in the room.  Madge (make-up) and Joel (hair) came at around 3:30 to do my trial hair and makeup.  It was so fun.  Those 2 are simply magical and very good at what they do.  I came out looking like a debutante to my wedding reheasal;).

The rehearsal went without a hitch thanks to my wedding coordinator Amanda.  We then headed to Shangrila for our dinner.  Another big surprise to all of us when we got there and saw how they beautifully set up our dinner.  It was inside a ballroom.  It kind of reminded me of 4 Seasons the way they set it up.  Our dinner was amazing!  They did a really a good job preparing everything.  The dessert was to die for.  So rich and good!  After dinner, we had a mini tea ceremony.  It turned out well.  Little practice for my real one in San Francisco.  =)  After the Tea Ceremony, they were nice enough to tour my party of the whole place.  I think people had fun touring the place.

That night, Thao and Claire spent time with me.  We hung out at the balcony.  We couldn't go inside the hot tub cuz it was too cold, but we just chilled outside.  They spent the night with me.  They slept earlier than me.  I finished the slideshow and my vows and ended up sleeping at 2. One more night till the big night!

Manila!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I always forget how I love coming home to the Philippines.  Right when we touchdown from the aircraft, I just get this giddy feeling.  Manila airport is CRAZY.  This time around, it actually wasn't bad.  We got through customs so fast, and our luggage came super quick too.  The problem was when we got out of the airport.  It was instant insanity.  My dad found us right away.  But we had to wait for my cousin John to pull in with the car.  It took him 30 minutes to circle the airport and get us.  The traffic was insane.  But once we got out of the airport traffic, we were home free.  Manila airport has got to be the craziest airport I have ever been to.

Right when you walk out of the airport, you can feel the heat, the humidity, and the smog.  But Aaron said I was built for this type of weather.  When everyone else gets instant sweaty, my body stays cool. =)

One of my favorite things to do in Manila is getting pampered.  I have already gotten a massage, a facial, and parrafin was treatment mani/pedi.  It's been so nice.  My parent's new condo is sooo convenient from everything.  It is close to shopping, spa's, and great food.  And tropical fruits.  Aaron and I have eat like 3 Kilos worth of Mangosteen already.

I am trying to enjoy my time, because I know that once everyone gets here, it's go go go.  I'm excited to see everyone though.  I can't believe it's happening.  One more week!

I will update more later...............

Less than a week

I just noticed that my last blog was exactly like the blog before it.  Lol.  I am at work right now trying to think of to do list before I leave.  I work till Tuesday, so I feel like I won't have much time to do much after that.  I can't believe we're leaving on Friday.  It's insane.  I feel like I have a milltion things left to do!  I prety much only have Wednesday night and Thursday to do my last minute stuff.  I hope I don't forget anything!  Our apt looks like a tornado hit it because we've been getting different package deliveries from either registry or just by me ordering things online.  So, we have to clear that out before we leave.  Packing is a pain in the ass like always.  Amanda has been super great with pretty much dealing with the wedding stuff.  She's been reminding me to make decisions on things about the wedding.  Too bad the only time I get to communicate with her is late at night, when I'm working.  So I try to balance working with my patient's and emailing the Philippines.  It's been really stressfull.  On top of that, my stress ulcer is coming back.  I had a bad one a few days ago, so I totally downed Maalox and Tums, which helped.  I'll be really really happy when I get to just chill on the beach and have fun with everyone.  Anyway, back to work, I will update before leaving.

Xoxo

I'm back............... Again =)

So I haven't blogged in like FOREVER!  I figured this is a great way for me to update people on my road to the BIG day.  I was playing around with different blogging sites for a while, but I realized that I have put in so much time and energy in Xanga that it would have been a waste to stop using it, FOREVER.  My journey through nursing school was documented here, and I love going back and reading it once in a while.

So today marks my one month mark before I leave for the Philippines.  I'm getting really excited.  I've been looking at pictures from weddings that has happened in Discovery Shores, and it looked so beautiful.  I can't believe that it's really happening.  I've always dreamed of getting married there, and it's actually going to happen, someone pinch me now!  I am heading home to Oregon this weekend to pick up my dress, so I think I'll really start feeling like a bride once I try it on.   I have been emailing Amanda all the things that needs to be done, and she's done such a wonderful job getting me what I need.  I wouldn't know what to do without all her help.

I will post up pictures of our trip here during my month long vacation.  Then at least for the people that won't be able to make it, you guys won't feel so left out.

I'm back

I tried other web blogs, but I like xanga the most.  So, I'm back.  Besides, it's nice to reminisce on my older blogs especially the ones from St Croix.  I am at work, and I am so anxious to go home.  I've been unmotivated this whole week and I have not enjoyed the sun in a week.  It's been sunny for ONE WEEK!  And I have not gotten a chance to go out and enjoy it.  So, today, I am fully enjoying it.  I WILL NOT SLEEP until night time.  I have done that many times, so it's doable.  I took a 30 min nap during work, and I had coffee late, so I think I will be okay.

Today, Angela and Derrick comes home.  I am excited to see them.  I haven't seem them in months!

Then this weekend, Thao-i is coming!  YIPEE!  I miss my fwends.  I can't wait to see her and hang out.  It is supposed to be 65 degrees this weekend.  =)  Anyway, I better go back to work.
